Calling fun-seekers of all ages, Singapore’s biggest carnival, the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, has officially opened its fairgrounds to the public earlier this evening, providing accessible, affordable and quality entertainment for everyone’s enjoyment.
Perfect for Singaporeans to relive their fondest childhood memories, the carnival takes over Marina Bay’s The Promontory and Bayfront Event Space, where it takes up to the equivalent of three and a half football field.
The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival will welcome its first visitors with more than 40 rides and games from countries around the world such as UK, Italy and Germany, over 1 million licensed plush toys from Marvel, Pixar, and Dreamworks to be won, and of course, a dizzying selection of programmes, performances and gastronomic delights.
Thrill rides left brave-hearted carnival-goers with racing pulses and pumping adrenaline, while children also had a rousing good time with various attractions – from having a bird’s eye view of the Marina Bay, to pitting their skills at the game stalls to win some of their favourite plush toys.
Visitors were also treated to entertaining music performances and a selection of more than 20 curated food vendors offering everything from fairground favourites and local delights to gourmet options – at affordable prices starting from SGD4.
Mr Barnabas Chia, Lead of the Organising Team behind the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival shared about the opening, “We are excited to see so many people coming to support the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival. We have always intended it to be something that the community can enjoy in the heart of Singapore’s city centre. And we hope everyone can bring more of their loved ones in the coming weeks and months to come create fun and memorable moments together.”
From now till 1 April 2018, The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival opens daily from 4pm to 11pm, except Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve when it will start from 3pm. Admission is free for all, and credits for rides and games can be purchased on-site and online.
