Support our very own local artist, Jeff Sia at the upcoming Lego Art Exhibition! The exhibition will take place from 2 to 5 February 2012 (10am-9pm) at the ION Art Gallery.

What’s so special about Lego Art is Jeff’s unique approach of combining the method of fixing Lego bricks with the influences of Pop Art in his paintings. Every piece of art form is a creative expression of juxtaposed grooves, gaps, shapes, depth and striking colours. The direction that Jeff paints even gives every art piece a three-dimensional effect under lightings. No amount of words can comprehensively paint a mental picture in your mind. So why not head down and experience the art yourself!

More information about the exhibition in the poster below.

    · Which Nike Football Boot Suits You Best? ·

Nike prides its wide array of boot offerings on giving players the on-pitch advantage to dominate over others. Each of the 4 silos of Football boots – namely Nike T90 Laser IV, Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite, Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly III and Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite – are built to suit every type of player and play style.

This season, Nike presents an updated colourway of the 4 silos of Football boots. Read further to see which pair of boots is the perfect fit for you.

Nike T90 Laser IV – Focused on adapting to the technical demands and movement of a highly mobile striker the T90 Laser IV is 20% lighter than the last version and features a streamlined silhouette that provides enhanced fit and feel on the ball. The forefoot area features a newly configured adaptive shield design in which the key contact zones are broken up into flexible strips to enhance the natural power and accuracy of the foot while the swerve zone fins reduced in size and height allow a closer feel to the ball providing friction to curved shots. The new release comes in Dark Grey and Solar Red color. Retail Price: SGD$109

Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite – The boots’ premium leather is strong and soft, giving the player extra comfort, touch and control. Combine the unmatched touch and feel of the boot with innovations such as a carbon fiber plate, Flywire technology upper and stud configuration and you have a legend reborn. It is also the lightest Tiempo yet, coming in at 20g lighter than its predecessor. White and metallic red are the colors of the new version for 2012. Retail Price: SGD$489

Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly III – Featuring an adaptive traction system that provides extra grip, traction and responsiveness, the seventh generation of the Mercurial boots ensures that fast players capitalize on the tightest of scoring opportunities. Directionally positioned blades maximize cutting and allow for quick changes of direction, while secondary toe traction provides added toe-off power for those first critical steps to generate explosive speed. Collectively, these design details allow greater speed and quickness in all directions. The second generation of Nike Flywire technology incorporated into the boot’s streamlined upper provides a lightweight, strong and more dynamic fit. To keep up with the bright colors, this season the Mercurial comes in a metallic purple.
    Retail Price: SGD$599

Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite – This pair of boots is designed for a player looking to master control on the pitch. Controlling the tempo with accurate passing, dictating the pace and creating chances are necessities for the midfield maestro. A Kanga-Lite synthetic leather upper ensures optimal comfort and fit. Cushioning zones and receive and pass pads give great first touch and improve ball control and precise distribution. The unique asymmetrical lacing design creates an expanded ball control surface for enhanced touch. Finally, the plate offers incredible energy return and strength, with bladed studs for optimal traction and stability. The new color is Loyal Blue. Retail Price: SGD$269
