The French designer, Christophe Lemaire’s collection of Uniqlo U Spring/Summer 2018 collection will launch on 26 January. This is the fourth Uniqlo U collection, which embodies the UNIQLO LifeWear philosophy of creating high-quality clothing that is universal in design and comfort, and made for everyone, everywhere. The new collection features reinvented basics from the design team at the UNIQLO Paris R&D Centre.
The full Uniqlo U Spring/Summer 2018 collection will be available exclusively at the UNIQLO Global Flagship Store at Orchard Central and online. In addition, selected pieces from the collection will be available in the following UNIQLO stores – Bugis+, JEM, ION Orchard and Suntec City.
Prices range from SGD14.90 for a U Crew Neck T-Shirt to SGD199.90 for a BLOCKTECH coat.
Uniqlo U takes the LifeWear range further towards tomorrow by bringing new ideas to design, patterns, fabric development, and sewing techniques. The latest Uniqlo U collection features brilliant hues inspired by nature in slightly oversized styling for effortlessly relaxed silhouettes, and it comprises 50 items for women, 38 for men and eight accessories.
Featuring Blues and Greens, Stripes and Borders
Key colors in this collection include variations of blues and greens, such as sea blue, sky blue, forest green and grass green. Orange and red accents, stripes and borders, as well as other elements are also incorporated into the collection to broaden wardrobe flexibility. An exciting addition to the Women’s line this season is the Open Collar Shirt featuring thick stripes while the highlight of the Men’s range is the Colour Block T-Shirt, which employs heavyweight cotton.

For Autumn 2017, Lacoste has given carte blanche to the duo of graphic artists Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag, alias M/M paris. Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Lacoste’s artistic director, had been dreaming of combining the iconic crocodile with the talent and the very special world of these two artists. “I admire their work, which I find very personal and rich. I like the alchemy which takes place between their freedom of tone and the strictness of their creations,” he explains.
For three decades, M/M paris has embodied the best there is in the field of signs and visual identity. Among the most innovative designers of their generation, the pair have marked the era with their artistic creations based on thinking which is always profound and often political.
The alphabet is undoubtedly the favourite area of expression of Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag, who have had fun redefining the outline of the brand name from “A to Z”. Graphically redesigned according to the geometry of the letters composing the brand’s name, the L stylises the crocodile’s tail while the E represents its open mouth.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Pazzion invites everyone to stand #StrongerTogether to celebrate the women who have displayed strength, courage and resilience during their battle against breast cancer. The campaign aims to spread awareness that early detection saves lives and saves breasts.
This year, Pazzion will be releasing a limited edition pink pump heels together with a series of personal stories by four breast cancer survivors who have courageously opened up about their journey, in hopes that it would be a source of comfort, support and inspiration for women.
The limited edition pump heels in pink suede sports a classic ribbon design, resembling the loop of pink ribbon, bringing awareness to breast cancer. The heels will be available at all Pazzion stores, as well as the e-store from now to 31 October. It will retail for SGD76 and 30% of the net proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) to fund their members’ activities.
Branda, 31, Legal Recruiter
Branda was only 28 years old when breast cancer interrupted her life. She was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy and endured bouts of negative emotions when the side effects – not to mention, hair loss.
From the initial resistance and shock, Branda’s thoughts kept revolving around the cause of her illness, “I kept thinking, why me? I was young, led a relatively healthy lifestyle. I never thought I would have cancer, definitely not at this age.”
But giving up was not an option for her. With the support of her family, friends and her husband, Branda steeled herself for the journey. On days when her self-esteem dipped, Branda’s husband always reassured her that he would never give up on her.
Branda shared, “I didn’t even want to look at myself in the mirror. But even when I had no makeup on, no eyelashes, brows and no hair, my husband would say, ‘You look so beautiful today.’”
Today, Branda is a n active member of BCF and strong advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness, reminding others not to take life and health for granted. When asked about the advice she has for other women, Branda added, “Be vigilant about your body changes, do regular self-checks, and do not take health for granted.”

Aberdeen Harbour is the oldest existing business in the UK with a history that spans almost 900 years, and further north in Peterhead, there is the largest white fish and pelagic (mackerel and herring) port in the UK. Throughout the years, towns and communities in the North East of Scotland were established and built around fishing with some settlements dating back to the Medieval Times.
The “Fisherman’s Blues” edition of the U520 captures the spirit of a bygone era where superstitions and myth carried weight as seafaring men leaned heavily upon omens and luck to secure a safe return from the hardships of fishing in the North Sea. Sometimes at sea for many weeks of the year, fishermen had to endure the inhospitable conditions of the North Sea and its intemperate weather, as many seafarers would never return.
HANON reimagine the classic 520 running shoe, drawing inspiration from the nautical theme with a marine based colour palette as the upper is executed in an array of sea blues and executed in a plush leather application, with perforation details throughout. Additional detail appears across the shoe by way of a dual branded leather footbed, as well as a HANON branded leather hang tag.
For this project, HANON also worked alongside esteemed British photographer Ewen Spencer, who captured a series of images on film of a fishing crew and their vessel, while on location in Peterhead, Scotland. Each pair of shoes bought from HANON will come with a set of four Ewen Spencer postcards featuring images from the shoot.

CLOT founders, Edison Chen and Kevin Poon, have crafted a design that embodies the ubiquitous yin and yang symbol, mining the balance of light and dark in colorway and in form.
The CLOT x Converse One Star sneaker features hairy suede uppers with Confucian writing on the soles. The special packaging further portrays peacefulness with a diagram of Tai Chi movements on the box lid.
Inspired by Confucian philosophy and martial arts, this collaboration represents the meeting of Eastern philosophy and Western aesthetic through the iconic One Star.
