Converse is shouting out its manifesto – ‘The Right To Stand Out’ on 12 November 2011 (4-6pm) at Tangs Playlab, Orchard. Through this occasion, participants can discover and live up their unique selves through a dose of art. Accompanied with the perfect blend of music, Converse creates an experience where everyone is free to express their true identity.
Throughout the two-hour event, ‘The Right To Stand Out’ will be demonstrated through the art of customizations. Featured artist TwistedJoe will be customizing the classic Converse Chuck Taylors on the spot and transforming it into a statement that screams ‘The Right To Stand Out’, proving Converse’s endless possibility and versatility.
Participants will get a chance to show off their artistic flair in a DIY shoe design competition where they can draw out their depiction of ‘The Right To Stand Out’ on Converse shoes printed on the backdrop. An exciting prize awaits the one with the most creative design!
During the event, there will be a showcase of various Converse All Star seasonals with the spotlight shining on the Chuck Taylor All Star boots.
In addition, customized Chuck Taylors and art pieces centering on the theme ‘The Right To Stand Out’ by artists TheKillerGerbil, Sheryo and TwistedJoe will be exhibited at the event. This exhibition will last till 17 November 2011 at Tangs Playlab.
In conjunction with the Converse ‘The Right To Stand Out’ event, Converse and Tangs present shoppers with a chance to win a MacBook Air (11”). Any purchase of Converse footwear (no minimum spending required) at Tangs on 12 November 2011 entitles shoppers a lucky draw ticket for a chance to win the grand prize. From 13-17 November 2011, shoppers who spend above $80 on Converse footwear at Tangs will be able to enter the lucky draw.
Plus, the first 50 customers who turn up in Converse shoes at Tangs on 12 November 2011 will receive Converse goodie bags containing limited edition items.
