Radio Heineken: Laneway Festival 2012

In Singapore, Heineken has been a pioneer in the music scene since 2000, uniting cosmopolitan music enthusiasts at the forefront of the most cutting edge experiences through unique events such as Thirst, Elevation Concerts on the Roof, as well as the acclaimed Heineken Green Room program.

Gearing up for Laneway Festival on building it’s long standing support of ground breaking music by partnering with the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival as the official beer partner for the festival’s second year in Singapore. With the inclusion this year of Radio Heineken – an outdoor audio visual installation – music fans both at the venue and at home will get to hear every angle and see every angle of the festival through the perspectives of other festival-goers.

The giant Heineken ‘radio’ will be built on site at the iconic Fort Canning Park grounds. Equipped with a photobooth and a visual wall displaying live feeds from roving cameras, fans can be assured of interesting views of the festival, staying true to our promise of “see every angle, hear every angle”. The wall will also feature pictures from around the venue uploaded by fans via Twitter. The most creative consumer generated photos paired with the hashtag #radioHKN and depicting the best festival angle will stand a chance to win signed memorabilia by the bands.

Through an exclusive partnership, 98.7FM DJs will also be broadcasting live on location from Radio Heineken on 12th February from 9 – 11pm, bringing fans interviews with today’s most prolific international indie artists. The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival has always been about showcasing new and revered seminal music; finding what’s fresh and great and bringing it to unique settings and surrounds to be appreciated by music lovers. Started in 2004, Laneway returns this year to all seven cities it travelled to in 2011, including Singapore, with a line-up that promises torival anything the festival has put on before. 14 international bands and artists ranging from the electronic act M83 (France), the edgy pop-rock songstress Feist (Canada), to zombie punk band The Horrors (UK) will be performing on two stages set against the city backdrop. This year, the event transforms into a bona fide festival experience.

Visually experience a graphical representation of time that transcends the linguistics and math that make telling time difficult for a child to learn – creating a truly intuitive experience to tell time, set alarms, and visualise world-time/timezones.

Traditional math is base-10 but we are taught to read time in base-12. Like counting apples in school, our products aim to be simple enough to used by everyone – bringing the revolution of interface design to lifestyle products.

Yourtime
Displays your time in a variety of face designs including our zot™, zenh™ or zirc™ face modes. Swiping left and right transitions through the displays and the eyedropper icon allows full color customization to the display—allowing you to customize your NOOKA.

Worldtime
Keep track of time where ever you go—this category allows users to view time around the world. Accurate and intuitive, the worldtime category allows you to add cities (the bottom + sign) and visually see them on an accurate timetable. When a city is selected, the minutes are shown below, with the city table accurately moving from hour to hour.

Stopwatch
Turn your phone into a NOOKA stopwatch displayed as our zot, zenh or zirc face modes. Keep track of tasks and further your exploration of time. Swiping to the left/right switches the display, but does not disable the function while running.

Timer
Was it 20 minutes or 30 minutes? With the NOOKA alarm, simply touch the amount of hours and/or swipe the minutes to the desired amount and let the countdown begin! A push notification with alarm will sound notifying you the time is up.

Feiyue Fixed-Gear Commercial

Check out this pretty slick riding of fixed gear, an advertisement for Feiyue and was filmed by KS Yun.

Originated from Shanghai in the 1920s as a footwear manufacturer, Feiyue was known for it’s simple lightweight canvas sneaker, and was then reintroduced in 2006 by a french company which brought it shine back to life.

Pentax K-01 by Marc Newson

Marc Newson, a well-known for his industrial work as a designer who has helped create aircraft, furniture and jewelry has designed the newly camera for Japanese camera brand PENTAX.

Built with a machined aluminum frame, the Pentax K-01 camera uses a 16-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor. It has a three-inch digital screen with the K-mount interchangeable lens, video capability is available on full 1080p HD and capture at up to 24fps. The camera feature a sensor-shift PENTAX Shake and Dust Reduction system, a flexible ISO range of 100 to 25600, and focus peaking mode which enable fast and accurate manual focusing.

Expected to arrive by March, the Pentax K-01 will be available in three different color – yellow, black or white. Retailing for USD 749.95 (body only) and USD $899.95 (lens kit including new DA 40mm XS).

Nike Air Jordan Spizike – Bordeaux

The Jordan Spizike – Bordeaux catches attention to all when U.S President Barack Obama was presented this sneaker at State of the Union Address and finally will be making it’s way as a public release this saturday.

Similar to the Bordeaux Air Jordan 7, the multicolor sneaker features a mainly neutral grey upper with various hints of sapphire blue, varsity red and varsity maize throughout the upper.
