J65, the all-day dining restaurant at Hotel Jen Tanglin, has released five new themed buffets promising variety, freshness, quality and taste.
If you are a seafood lover or a fan of local food, this is the place that will keep you spoilt for choice.
International Buffet (SGD55++ per person)
On Sundays and Mondays, go international with Hotel Jen’s international buffet spread that includes a generous selection of roasted prime beef ribs, pork knuckles and Virginia honey lemon ham, baked whole Norwegian Salmon and barbecued pork ribs. Other mains include braised herbal duck, roasted chicken, Kam Heong prawns, Kungpao Squid, and more.
Colours of Asia Buffet (SGD55++ per person)
On Tuesdays, dig into local food with the “Colours of Asia” Buffet. Enjoy specialties from various Asian cuisines whipped up by chefs from Singapore and Malaysia. Don’t miss the extended buffet at the alfresco (outdoor) stations where you will be treated to a live demonstration of Teh Tarik pulling as well as live whirling and twirling of Roti Prata and Roti Jala.
Also, create your own version of Singapore’s favourite traditional dessert with the D.I.Y Ice Kacang station located at the alfresco area.
Look out for the Singapore Chili Crab, Laksa, Indonesian Oxtail Rendang, Bak Kut Teh amongst other tasty favourites at the indoor live kitchen.
Lobster Rock-N-Roll Buffet (SGD65++ per person)
To celebrate midweek, treat yourself to a spread of lobster dishes. The “Lobster Rock-n-Roll” is all about lobsters. From Boston Lobsters to Mountain Lobsters, and Slipper Lobsters, expect a massive lineup of lobsters cooked in different ways and styles – from the ice bar for the natural flavor to the baked, stir-fried, grilled, curried culinary styles that will keep you addicted and left wanting for more.
And do not miss out on the rich and flavorful Lobster Bisque that leave your palettes lingering with fresh, intense lobster flavors.
Live Barbecue Buffet (SGD 65++ per person)
For barbecue lovers, the array of selections at the Live Barbecue buffet on Thursdays will leave you in awe. Choose your favorite meats or seafood to be barbecued at the alfresco area. Signatures not to be missed are the famous Korean Bulgogi, Champagne Pork Ribs and Marinated Beef ribs.
At the Hong Kong BBQ station are the roast meats. The thick Char Siew and crispy Pork Belly are absolutely irresistible. Remember to try the suckling pig that is only made available on Thursdays!
Seafood Mania Buffet (SGD 65++ per person)
It’s finally the end of a long week! J65 teases your palette with a huge selection of seafood from Alaskan Crab, Mud Crab, Boston Lobster, fresh prawns, mussels and clams on ice. At the hot stations, you will be further spoiled for seafood in many ways from Asian to Western cuisine.
Eat to your heart’s content at the live oyster station, the best part of Seafood Mania. With fresh oysters from France, what’s not to love about this delicious spread!
Apart from the main buffet, there’s a dessert line-up every night. So, remember to leave some room in your stomach for these sweet treats.
If you love western desserts, you will adore the selection of tarts and cakes. There is a dessert drawer where you can pick out puddings and jellies. The old school Potong ice-cream is also included in the delicious range of desserts.
If you are a durian lover, you will be delighted by the long-standing favourite, Durian Pengat. This thick and creamy dessert will definitely satisfy anyone craving for the spiky fruit.
