The only croc in the world with a chic sense of style has built a nest brimming with vibrancy in the heart of this urban jungle. Ushering in Fall/Winter with a bang, French fashion label Lacoste opened its first Lacoste L!VE boutique in Singapore.
While Lacoste’s urban elegance is clearly set out with its unconventional chic offer of the brand’s main line on the second level, Lacoste L!VE impresses the youthful crowd with an unexpected and cool combination of Lacoste original style and street art on the first level of the boutique.
Profiled for the fashion-forward youths, Lacoste L!VE merchandise is street-styled and comes in slimmer and more fitted silhouettes. True to its be-original appeal, Lacoste L!VE merchandise is unconventionally displayed on metal racks, hung from ceilings and pinned up on mesh wall panels.
On 16 August 2012, a party was thrown to launch the debut Lacoste L!VE boutique in Singapore. Kick-starting the night was Ginnette Chittick on the DJ deck, as guests mingled and enjoyed unique canapés and sweets including Lacoste L!VE branded macaroons and cake pops in the lounge area set up beside the Lacoste L!VE store.
The party scaled to its peak when sand artist Stacey Lee and rap artist Monkey King bowled everyone over with a one-of-a-kind performance that raised the excitement in the atmosphere. The sand painting performance accompanied by DJ Ginnette’s beats and Monkey King’s rap creatively outlined the celebratory adventure of the croc into Singapore and showcased Lacoste L!VE’s irreverent attitude and positive energy.
True to its belief of nestling unconventional talents, Lacoste L!VE commissioned an art series by local artist and Lacoste L!VE fan, Eeshaun Soh. The colourful, spirited, energetic and irreverent personality of the Lacoste L!VE brand was perfectly captured in the art pieces which marry free flowing forms, lines and a burst of colours. The pieces were creatively displayed in the store and captured attention from both fans of Lacoste L!VE and Eeshaun.
The Lacoste L!VE boutique is located at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, 8 Grange Road, #01-01/01A. A second one will be opened at ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn, #B3-60 in mid September 2012.
