Lacoste has finally shine us with their Spring/Summer Collection 2012, taking back to the nostalgic journey with three unique themes for the guys: Summer Camp, The Aquatic Life and The 90s Show.
Summer Camp explores vintage Americana impulse and inspiration, including Ivy League and back to nature. The series feature fabric all mostly cotton with some nylon on function outerwear. Prints are taken from nature and military sources updated in contemporary colors.
The Aquatic Life takes its inspiration from French heritage: the tricolor flag, the relaxed yachting lifestyle, as well as a bit of Jacques Cousteau mixed in with LACOSTE codes.White anchors this theme with a panel of primary colors with different washes onchambray to denim. Must-haves include a windbreaker with heat-sealed seams andsilicone crocodile logo and a navy jacket in washed cotton. Printed polos and T-shirts allsport nautical references.
The 90s Show takes us back to the decade of day-glo Pop, the urban ambiance of hiphop as well as electric cartoons and Spike Lee films. Multicolor patterns pop against white or black backgrounds. Fabrics include day-glo weaves and multicolor madras. Polos and T-shirts feature cartoon prints inspired by the 90s hip hop scene, while shirtsare electric and flashy.
