Calling all artists
Take the opportunity to participate in the Singapore Spring Affordable Art Fair.
The Affordable Art Fair is currently on the lookout for artists who would like to participate in their popular and unique artist platform, the Affordable Art Fair Spring Charity Feature Wall, back for its third year. Last year over 59 works were sold, raising over $29,500 for their chosen charity and artists alike.
Entitled ‘Let Art Speak’, the aim of this year’s Charity Feature Wall is to give an opportunity to all artists to showcase their works within the fair, and at the same time give something back to charity.
All showcased works will be priced at $500, and 50% of the monies raised will go towards supporting this year’s Charity Partner; Woodbridge Hospital Charity Fund. 50% of the artwork sales will also go back to the artists involved.
If you would like to apply for this fair feature, all you need to do is send the following items via email by 11 March 2016.
- Download and fill in our proposal form
- Send one high res image of your proposed artwork, and also one high res image of another artwork from your artist portfolio
- Send us an up to date artist statement
Fair Assistant Programme
Alternatively, non-artists may also choose to participate in the fair as assistants. Assistants are required to be on site during fair days from 20 to 24 April 2016
The Affordable Art Fair Singapore Fair Assistant Programme is an opportunity for people from different walks of life to share their skills and talent, and in the process, experience and learn more about contemporary art. This programme will benefit in the personal development of the Fair Assistants.
Fair Assistants are an important part of the Affordable Art Fair Singapore. They contribute to the effective execution of the Fair, as well as promoting awareness of art in everyone’s lives, in alignment with our ethos of making contemporary art accessible to everyone.
Fair Assistants will be involved in the backstage of organising an art fair of its kind in Asia, get to learn a new skill or talent and meet people who share a common interest in art while having fun pursuing an interest and an important project.
The Affordable Art Fair Singapore Spring Edition happens from the 22 – 24 April 2016 at the F1 Pit Building.

About the fair’s Charity Partner: Woodbridge Hospital Charity Fund
The Woodbridge Hospital Charity Fund (WHCF) is a registered charity and an Institution of a Public Character managed by the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Singapore’s only tertiary psychiatric hospital. The Fund supports initiatives to improve the lives of persons with mental illness in Singapore.
IMH employs both medication and a range of therapies to help patients in their recovery. Art and creative expression are incorporated in some of their programmes to improve patients’ well-being and quality of life.
Affordable Art Fair is delighted to support IMH in reaching this goal. Funds raised from the Affordable Art Fair Spring Charity Feature Wall will enable IMH to introduce art therapy to more patients, as well as to provide more art outreach to increase awareness of mental health issues to youths through its CHAT and EPIP programmes.
Make sure you don’t miss their creative and expressive workshops at the fair!
