Happy Leap Year…except it isn’t very happy if you think about it.
An extra day of work for the same amount of pay!
But don’t freak out yet, for there’s an awesome bar where you can mourn your day’s work over drinks this 29th February.
Bar Bar Black Sheep. They began as a quirky bar tucked away in secluded Cherry Ave (back in the day, they didn’t even have a phone line!), but they have since expanded to Robertson Quay and Boat Quay.
Ardent, long-time fans swear by their original outlet, but I have a soft spot for the very charming Robertson Quay area. Great place to catch up over a drink, whilst soaking in some of that gorgeous nighttime ambience by the river.
Another bonus? They’re probably one of the few bars with decent, even good, food. Take your pick of western, thai or indian cuisine. The burgers are popular, but I’ll take some naan dipped in curry any day. Especially when I can wash it down with a pint or two of Kronenberg!
