Onitsuka Tiger presents the GSM that has been reimagined into a classic vintage style that shines with the glossiness of lacquer for Autumn-Winter 2017. This new model is a new approach to the court shoe, now the big new trend in sneakers, and is a premium model suitable for both the workplace and leisure.
Named after the acronym for Game, Set, Match, the GSM court shoe updates the silhouette of the tennis and basketball shoes of the 1980s. Original sporty details – like the zig-zagging eyelets, ventilation to reduce foot moisture, and the side Onitsuka Tiger stripes – have been left, but an oiled leather has been used in this new model to create a nice, worn-in look, turning it into an adult fashion item with flair.
This model has a luster and looks as if it were painted with lacquer, and feels uniquely luxurious. Though made of the same leather material used in mountain boots, the oiled leather shines and tumbling gives the leather fine lines that lend a vintage feel in rich two-tone shades. The weighty color tone of the upper and the lighter rubber contrast gives just the right degree of casualness in a luxury item, bringing a relaxed preppy style for adults for Autumn and Winter.
