Marc Newson, a well-known for his industrial work as a designer who has helped create aircraft, furniture and jewelry has designed the newly camera for Japanese camera brand PENTAX.
Built with a machined aluminum frame, the Pentax K-01 camera uses a 16-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor. It has a three-inch digital screen with the K-mount interchangeable lens, video capability is available on full 1080p HD and capture at up to 24fps. The camera feature a sensor-shift PENTAX Shake and Dust Reduction system, a flexible ISO range of 100 to 25600, and focus peaking mode which enable fast and accurate manual focusing.
Expected to arrive by March, the Pentax K-01 will be available in three different color – yellow, black or white. Retailing for USD 749.95 (body only) and USD $899.95 (lens kit including new DA 40mm XS).
