Close to 6000 runners geared up for the latest edition of the PUMA Night Run Singapore 2016 on a brand new race route. Sitting on a backdrop of JTC Seletar Aerospace Park, runners got to experience the sights and sounds of well-preserved black and white colonial houses along the fringe of the race route complemented by occasional take offs and landings of private jets. The refreshing race route displayed a different ambience of the traditional cityscape runs in previous editions. Joining the runners were also celebrities, Sheila Sim, Dawn Yeoh, Elvin Ng, Shane Pow, Chan Ning, Jia Fa, Nick Teo, Michelle Wong, Edwin Goh, Xu Bin, Aloysius Pang.
As 98.7FM celebrity DJ Duo, Sonia Chew and Joakim Gomez electrified the crowd onstage, runners got to enjoy interactive activities at the race village such as face and body painting, as well as picture taking at the photo booths, which injected colour and fun to the race atmosphere. Race participants also enjoyed themselves with food and drinks by Dosirak and Hic Juice at the race village.
As runners geared up for the race ahead, instructors from True Fitness led all runners in a mass warm-up before making their way to the starting line. It was great to see the participants challenging themselves while having great fun too!” said Mr. Gabriel Yap, Head of Marketing PUMA Southeast Asia. “With the exceeding success of today’s PUMA Night Run, we are already looking forward to a more exciting race next year!”
