Aiming to bring new inspiration and excitement to the consumers who appreciate craftsmanship and lasting quality, Timberland is excited to announce its first-ever collaboration with Porter, the main brand under Japanese bags manufacturer Yoshida & Company, who has a long history in luggage design and craftsmanship with a commitment to making products exclusively in Japan following the motto ‘heart and soul into every stitch’.
The collaboration represents an authentic exchange of different traditional craftsmanship skills and ideas between Timberland and Porter – the collection comprises 2 pairs of Premium 6-inch boots made by Timberland and 4 bags made by Porter, all items are crafted with the mix of Timberland’s iconic nubuck leather and Porter’s iconic flight satin nylon fabric, manifesting that this collection is a true collaboration but not simply putting two brands’ logos together.
Adopting the color scheme of Porter’s iconic TANKER ORIGINAL bags series – Olive and Black with contrast Orange lining, the Timberland x Porter Premium 6-inch Boots come in an Olive nubuck body x Black nylon collar colorway (to highlight, the olive nubuck is newly developed for Porter) as well as a Black nubuck body x Orange satin nylon collar colorway. The boots have incorporated Porter bags’ details such as grey painted eyelets, grey taslan shoelaces and Porter brand tag on the boots’ side panel, and are completed with a Vibram® lug outsole for extra durability.
Also available in an Olive and a Black colorway, the Timberland x Porter bags come in the popular Daypack and 2-Way Boston Bag silhouettes. All bags are made by Porter’s signature 3-layer insulated flight satin nylon fabric with a contrast orange lining which is inspired by the MA-1 flight jacket, with the additional handle, side pocket panel and bottom details made with Timberland’s iconic Wheat nubuck leather. The bags also feature the quad-stitches detail – an iconic detail Timberland uses to make its boots waterproof.
The Timberland x Porter capsule collection will hit on December 14 at Timberland Raffles City, Vivocity, ION Orchard, [email protected], Bugis+ and Robinsons The Heeren.
