Love, lust and life are at the heart of both these shows, which explore the intricate workings of relationships. Award-winning indie film 1400 by local director Derrick Liu features four intertwined stories of love taking place in a hotel, following everyday people as they discover the importance of love, and the extremes they would go for it.
If you loved Bridgerton, try Last Madame: Season 1
Beyond the scandals, forbidden affairs and beautiful costumes that make both period series Bridgerton and Last Madame a pure pleasure to watch, both shows feature strong, empowered women who are confident in their own skin and not afraid to fight for what they want.
Last Madame: Season 1, starring homegrown actress Joanna Peh,tells the story that intertwines two seemingly opposite generations through the story of Chi Ling and her great grandmother, Fung Lan – the last brothel owner of 1940s Singapore.
