Just when you thought that the nightlife and club scene in Singapore couldn’t be more alive, along came DJ Soda, who made us wish that every night were a Friday night (In this case, it’s a Soda night).
Taking the stage on 29 July, the South Korean cutie opened with a greeting to her fans, “annyeong”. True to her stage name, fans were getting revved up for a night of beats dropped by Soda, infused with her bubbly personality and her four signature moves. Firing up the dance floor at Zouk at The Sundown Live Party, the model-turned-DJ put her spin on a medley of genres including Hip Hop classics and R&B.
Party animals and insomniacs were down for a night of merrymaking, shuffling and more drinking. Of course, Soda dished out some signature Hip Hop music and R&B hits, while jazzing it up with her own creations.
To those who are unaware of Soda, she’s the latest hit in Korea’s club scene, especially from her signature stage move, the “Flute Dance”. In fact, there’s more to Soda than just being a girl with a pretty face, who can spin a turntable. Beyond her musical talents, Soda’s background in stage performance inspired her to choreograph her signature stage moves that went viral and garnered millions of hits on YouTube and other social media.
