The legacy of Amy Winehouse continues with a Fred Perry collection in support of The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which has been set up in Amy’s memory to support charitable activities in both the UK and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.
For Spring/Summer 2013, Fred Perry has enlisted the expertise of designer Amy Molyneaux of PPQ for her unique insight into the singer’s inimitable style, having worked closely with Winehouse in the past.
Styles are in keeping with the original Amy Winehouse 2011 collection for Fred Perry, but have been updated and reworked for contemporary relevance. The signature ethos of retro British femininity remains at the core with classic 50s silhouettes meeting girly detailing such as lace knit trim on cuffs and stitched down black vents.
The core colour palette of black, orchid pink and fire red stands strong alongside sharp ginghams and bold prints. In particular, a series of exclusive paisleys incorporating Fred Perry laurels, lightning bolts and charm bracelet iconography.
Key pieces include a stand collar Fred Perry shirt, paisley bandana print shirt, a black andwhite bowling shirt, a printed bandana dress, cotton/linen gingham shirtdress, V-neck Argyle sweater dress and a must-have bomber in a glorious shade of peach. Prices start from SGD179 for a shirt to SGD449 for a jacket.
