Start the new year with a creative bang, starting with the Singapore Art Week (SAW). SAW will take place from 17 and 25 January 2015 and is an event set to explore a diverse range of art as well as appeal to audiences from all walks of life. A highlight this year is the inclusion of smaller, niched art events be it contemporary, modern, traditional or even art tied in with music, drama and poetry.
Some events include Art Stage Singapore 2015, which will take place from 22 – 25 January. Held at Marina Bay Sands Expo Convention Centre, Art Stage will be host to a good amount of art from galleries across Asia. Look forward to works from established and emerging contemporary artists from this region and beyond.
If you’re more of a night creature but want to get in on the festivities, drop by Gillman Barracks for Art After Dark on 23 January. Starting things off at 6pm, Art After Dark is an outdoor party set against the new shows launched by the galleries at Gillman Barracks. Apart from the galleries’ shows, be sure to drop by the exhibition at the Centre for Contemporary Art, and check out DRIVE, the Barracks’ first festival of curated public artworks.
