Emerging with a spanking new name, ASPECTRUM will be launching its new EP “Prologue” on 14 June 2013 at the Home Club. In this new chapter, the band expresses its identity of possessing a medley of genres and styles that influences its music, which is aptly reflected in its new name and EP.
Formerly known as Godzilla, the young band has selected six of its compositions to be released in “Prologue”. Drummer Shaun Slone says, “We wanted to incorporate all of our different influences together and create an EP that has a unique sound.”
Even though ASPECTRUM has only been playing for a little over a year, it has already accomplished several milestones. With two mentorship programs (viz Baybeats’ and Noise Singapore) to its credit, the band has rocked out numerous gigs such as Baybeats 2012, Make Some Noise!, Converse’s Get Dirty Gig and Uniqlo’s UT Pop-Up at 72-13.
From 14 June 2013, “Prologue” will be available for purchase at the EP launch at Home Club, on Bandcamp and also on iTunes. More details of the EP launch here.
