Beauty in The Pot has officially launched its brand-new outlet at VivoCity and it is the restaurant’s biggest outlet yet. Spanning over 10,600 square feet, the outlet boasts 400 seats as well as two 12-seater private dining rooms that can be combined to form a larger space perfect for family or large gatherings.
The interior of the VivoCity outlet is inspired by the bygone era of glamourous ocean liner and the latest trend of “小清新”, or “a breath of fresh air”. The restaurant overlooks the sea, so gourmands will feel as if they are really on a cruise. Art deco modern lines, juxtaposed with the vibrant teal and peach colours of the chairs, help achieve a contemporary look. Natural sunlight filters in through the windows, adding to the sense of glamour.
The outlet offers the new version of the Signature Beauty Collagen Broth, which boasts a richer and sweeter flavour compared with its predecessor: the Shark’s Cartilage Soup. A medley of conpoy, chicken, chicken feet, pork bone and pig’s trotters is boiled for many hours, and as such the broth has a thick consistency and is rich in collagen. The umami note of the conpoy also adds a different flavour dimension to the broth.
There are three new items to discover at the VivoCity outlet: black cow tripe, pig aorta and baby bamboo shoots. These three items have an addictive crunch that will have gourmands wanting more. There will also be cold side dishes available at the condiment counter, which offers two new sauces as well: mushroom and spicy minced beef.
A suite of premium hotpot ingredients
Specially selected to match seamlessly with the soup, Beauty in The Pot offers a variety of fresh ingredients ranging from meat and seafood to vegetables and noodles. All the meatballs, meat paste and dumplings are handmade. There are also more than 20 condiments and sauces to dip the ingredients in. Top up SGD4.00 to enjoy the condiments and a selection of fresh fruits.
Some of the must-try items at Beauty in The Pot include the Signature Homemade Fish Tofu (SGD2.20/piece), which follows a secret recipe. It is made with yellowtail fish, soya bean and egg white all blended perfectly. The smooth, soft and delicate tofu is skilfully prepared and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Handmade daily, the Ebiko Prawn Paste (SGD18.80) is shaped out of 100% prawn meat, and texturally the ebiko lends a nice juicy crunch.
The Fried Beancurd Skin (SGD5.00/half; SGD10.00/full) is irresistibly crispy; enjoy it on its own or soak it in your preferred broth. It is not at all unctuous, and hence not cloying. At Beauty in The Pot, the chefs thoroughly check the beancurd skin; only the best-quality ones are served.
Equally enticing, the Soft Bone Pork Meatballs (SGD5.40/half portion; SGD10.80/full) are incredibly juicy and tender.
