What’s the first thing you notice about someone? Many would say shoes. Shoes have stories – where they’ve been, who they’ve met, and and who has worn them. But most importantly, how will they continue their journies?
Aaron Firestein and Raaja Nemani met in Argentina. They bonded over a love for art and shoes, and translated this bond and creativity into the brand that now represents these two elements – Bucketfeet. Here’s their story:
Raaja went on to travel to 25 countries over 6 continents, and on her feet are a pair sneakers designed by Aaron. It inspired conversations and connections with so many different people with different backgrounds.
Separately, Aaron held an exhibition of the works by undiscovered street artists. He wanted to show people that art was universal, that art could connect people, and that talented people were everywhere – and that’s how Aaron and Raaja became founders of Bucketfeet.
Bucketfeet aims to find a different artist for every shoe. Not only will these artists get the exposure they deserve, the community gets original shoes that have stories to tell. Each pair of show is the result of a carefully crafted vision and handmade design.
