Super Mario Bros. fans, rejoice! To honour the 35th anniversary of the Nintendo Entertainment System, they have teamed up with LEGO to build the ultimate collector’s item – the LEGO Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System!

This buildable replica has 2,646 pieces which will form the original NES console, a 1980s television, Game Pak cartridge, and controller. Reminisce with the classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. game. To play, crank the handle on the television to move the puppet Mario across the panoramic, looping visual, all while the original game’s theme song plays!

If you have the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course, also released on the same day for USD60, connect the special figurine on top of the television for Mario’s face to mimic what is happening in the game. On top of that, the build-in speaker of the figurine will also provide sound effects as you scroll through the game.
The LEGO Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System is priced at USD230 and will be exclusively released at LEGO Stores and the LEGO webstore on 1 August 2020. This LEGO set is recommended for those age 18 and older.
