It’s been awhile since it was announced last year, almost everyone who has been following closely with Canon are eagerly waiting for the anticipating launch of Canon’s latest digital SLR body that will crown as it’s newest flagship camera for the EOS Line.
Aiming to replace both the 1Ds Mark III and the 1D Mark IV, The Canon EOS-1D x is a new 35mm 18-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor that delivers stunning performance and is equipped with Canon’s latest generation dual “DIGIC 5+” processor.
Taking advantage of the exceptionally wide ISO range of 100 to 52100 – expandable up to an ISO 204800, shooters will enjoy the benefit of being able to shoot even through to near darkness condition.
The EOS 1D-x is built to capture every second of the action up to 12fps with continuous shooting and a high precision 61 point AF system for accurate focusing of fast moving subjects.
Video enthusiast and filmmakers will be delighted to know that the new compression and sensor design that will help to eliminate moire and artifact when shooting HD video, a HDMI output also allows High Definition playback of footages and images.
Using a completely new shutter unit featuring carbon fibre shutter blades that are lightweight and more rigid, with a life-span of up to 400,000 cycles assured. Also new to the EOS-1D series is the electronic curtain shutter, for a quieter operation during live view shooting.

The Canon EOS-1D X is priced at SGD $9,299 (body only) and will be available at authorized retailers this Friday, 22nd June 2012.
