Caracal is back with their second studio album Welcome The Ironists, and with it a six-minute music video to its title track. Welcome The Ironists starts off with a fast-paced and unapologetic intro – after the soft-paced footsteps in the opening scene that is, which by the way cleverly builds the tension of the film-like music video – and we hear lead vocalist K.C. Meals singing, “How will I ever know if I was meant for, meant for more than this?”.
The single is a sweet preview of the rest of the album, which is packed with fast, aggressive numbers and stomping slow-burners, trademarked with riotous guitars and powerful vocals. Songs like God Damn Tree, Naga, and Divergence tell stories of hard lessons and tempered hope, and they are as authentic as the band’s live performances.
Recorded and produced together with music producer and sound engineer Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios, Welcome The Ironists aims to reach out listeners of Thrice, Norma Jean, Brand New, Envy On The Coast and Foo Fighters.
