Casio has announced its latest collaboration with California-based skater footwear and apparel brand, SUPRA, releasing two limited edition custom-designed G-SHOCK timepieces with matching SUPRA high-top silhouette sneakers for the kings and queens of street fashion.
For men, the G-SHOCK x SUPRA GD-X6900SP-1 comes with a matte black bezel and strap featuring a silver tonal polka dot pattern that is subtle yet edgy. It comes equipped with G-SHOCK’s trademark Shock Resistance, water resistance of up to 200 metres, stop watch functions and a Multi-Home Time 4 option to tell precise timing of up to four cities. Packed into a compact 53.9mm case, the watch also comes with Auto LED Super Illuminator for visibility in low-light conditions and a compact battery that powers the watch for up to ten years.
The design of the matching SUPRA high-top sneaker for men is inspired by the Estaban SUPRA model, a signature design by professional skateboarder, Stevie Williams. The sneaker features a combination of matt black and silver leather, with similar tonal polka dots and a lightweight white midsole constructed from SUPRA’s signature SUPRAFOAM material.
For ladies, the G-SHOCK x SUPRA GM-D6900SP-1 has a white bezel and strap, a stunning gold watch face and matching white tonal polka dots. Similar to its male counterpart, the watch comes with G-SHOCK’s trademark Shock Resistance, 200 metre water resistance and stop watch functions. Other features include a 24-hour countdown timer, illuminating EL backlight and a bright flash alert.
To match the G-SHOCK, the custom designed high-top sneaker for ladies is based off the SUPRA Cuttler model, sporting an identical white tonal polka pattern design on white leather and canvas. Complementing the white leather are metallic gold zippers adding a touch of glam and providing easy access to the shoe’s comfortable padded mesh interior. The base of the shoe features a white vulcanised sole with tonal foxing and pinstripes for a stylish finish.
This is the second collaboration between G-SHOCK and SUPRA to date. G-SHOCK and SUPRA first collaborated in 2013 to celebrate G-SHOCK’s 30th anniversary to release the “It’s About Time” G-SHOCK watch and iconic Vaider Lite high-top SUPRA sneaker.
The G-SHOCK x SUPRA GD-X6900SP-1ADR and G-SHOCK x SUPRA S Series GMD-6900SP-7ADR retails at SGD249 and SGD219 respectively, and are available at CASIO G-FACTORY stores at Bugis Junction, Tampines 1 and Plaza Singapura from 7 August 2015.
