There’s no denying that our mobile phones have become one of our most prized possessions. It is not only about the technology but what’s valuable as wellOn March 6, 2014 / By Nookmag
There’s no denying that our mobile phones have become one of our most prized possessions. It is not only about the technology but what’s valuable as well is the information we store in our smartphones.
Understanding the importance of protecting these precious personal devices, international mobile phone and tablet accessories brand The Kase presents the Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Made up of five high-protection technology layers – namely anti-oil and anti-fingerprint, scratch resistant, glass, a silicon sticker, and a final protective layer, the screen protector boasts a surface hardness of 9H (the highest of the coating scale being 10H) and a thickness of only 0.33mm.
Despite the multiple layers, the screen protector still maintains a clear and elegant visual quality and high touch-screen sensitivity. Additionally, its rounded borders prevent chipping. Not only is it shock-proof, the screen protector comes in six attractive colours.
Furthermore, it is widely compatible with a series of mobile phones ($34.90 each) and includes sizes to fit tablets ($64.90 each). Each set comes with a soft cleaning cloth, wet wiper, and dust removal sticker.

If you can’t bring the Singaporean to Japan, bring Japan to Singapore. And what do we love about The Land of The Rising Sun? Their shopping and high-techOn March 5, 2014 / By Nookmag
If you can’t bring the Singaporean to Japan, bring Japan to Singapore. And what do we love about The Land of The Rising Sun? Their shopping and high-tech gizmos of course. Now we can have our slice of Japan through a new high-tech retail platform – a state-of-the-art digital vending machine by retail company satisfaction guaranteed.
Called VENDOR satisfaction guaranteed, it will bring to you a mix of cosmetics and lifestyle products. Our plain ol’ drinks vending machine pales in comparison next to this intelligent, one-stop buy-all machine. Singapore is also the first stop of the venture to promote Japanese products to overseas markets.
“This next-generation digital vending machine was built through the gathering of Japanese technology. Taking advantage of this innovative technology, we have redesigned it into a new and exciting retail channel to promote interesting and seasonal products made in Japan to overseas market,” said Mr Shunsuke Sato, CEO of satisfaction guaranteed.
The company carefully curates the products available for sale, and currently has over 29 products from 16 companies showcasing Japan’s beauty and lifestyle products. This includes collaboration with renowned Japanese artists to produce unique and distinctive designs. Shoppers will be able to view the products on the machine’s digital touch-screen, while a simple tap reveals useful information about each product.
Some of the products you can find are: Borboleta Hair Chalks, KYUKYU Smartphone Pouches, Nakagawa Masashicihi Shoten – Mt Fuji dishes, Kyoto-To – Koi tabi socks and VlliVlli Nail Wraps. From February 15 onwards, consumers will be able to find these machines at three locations – The Cathay, Liang Court, and 100AM.
Here’s a rough, but probably true, estimate of what we do on our phone: a total of 5 hours on social media sites – Facebook (but I needOn March 3, 2014 / By Nookmag
Here’s a rough, but probably true, estimate of what we do on our phone: a total of 5 hours on social media sites – Facebook (but I need to read ALL the BuzzFeed posts ma!), Instagram (’cause it’s addictive and there are so many pretty pictures), and Twitter (one hour to read complains, one hour to write them). 4 hours of bitching and sending funny selfies to your friends on WhatsApp, and another 3 hours dedicated to watching Running Man.
Boy, that really drains the life out of our faithful companion. The more we use our phones to procrastinate, the more we need a power bank. The external battery – usually bulky and bothersome – is becoming one the most needed tech accessory!
Thankfully, international mobile phone and tablet accessories brand The Kase has two sleek powerbanks, aptly named Credit Card and Lipstick, as a fresh respite from the plain and troublesome to carry power banks in the market.
Designed with the style-savvy in mind, the Credit Card, named so for its ultra-slim, 4.5mm body, is nothing short of sophistication. It is easy to carry around and fits in even the smallest bags. Small it may be, but each power bank holds up to a capacity of 2000 mAh.
It has an LED light battery indicator and is compatiblewith a wide range of phones. Easy and convenient to use, each Credit Card comes with a slim-fit leather pouch for extra protection.
Like Credit Card, Lipstick is a fuss-free and petite powerbank. Modelled after every woman’s favourite fashion accessory, Lipstick is a stylish way to power up your electronics. It holds up to a charging power of 2500 mAh – imagine all the procrastination you can do! It also doubles up as a mini torchlight. (Insert joke about the hours of searching one can do in a woman’s handbag here)
Credit Card retails for $89 and is available in Shiny Gold, Shiny Black, Pink, Blue, and Silver. Lipstick retails for $49 and is available in White, pink, black and gold. Both powerbanks are available at The Kase Boutiques in ION Orchard, #B2-27 and Parkway Parade B1 #150-151.
