A destination location for youth in a Korea, Kasina has played a powerful role in developing Seoul’s streetwear landscape. Opening its doors in 1997, the brand’s aesthetic is rooted in skate, but continues to push cultural boundaries offering the latest in streetwear for musicians, skaters and artists on the streets of Seoul.
Tapping into Kasina’s artisanal heritage, Converse x Kasina combines the Converse silhouettes with the style of Korean youth for the global streetwear consumer.
The collection reinterprets the One Star and Chuck 70 Ox silhouettes through Kasina-inspired elements such as detailed leather designs and contrast stitching. Both sneakers also feature black leather uppers, wide black pinstripe detail on the midsole, and clear outsoles featuring a star logo split between the left and right foot.

The CALIFORNIA 78 EX model is Onitsuka Tiger’s first collaborative effort with cycling apparel and casual wear brand narifuri and was designed for cycling performance. The upper is made of extremely durable high-density material CORDURA, used in many narifuri apparel items. The toe and heel portions are made of embossed natural leather.
Reflectors on the tongue and heel improve wearer visibility in the dark. Three types of shoelace are available: rope lace, rubber strap, and reflector. Narifuri added a shoelace belt along the ankle collar for use with the rubber strap to prevent catching in the bicycle chain.
The highly-durable hard E.V.A. is affixed to the center front portion of the sole for optimal pedaling grip.
The CALIFORNIA 78 EX is available in two colors, Black and Navy. The colors remain true to the narifuri taste; while simple, both hues are adorned with a casual camouflage motif on the toe and heel. The insole features a dot camouflage print. The CALIFORNIA 78 EX is retailing at SGD189 and available exclusively at Onitsuka Tiger Suntec City.

Converse has partnered with irreverent and youth-centric LA streetwear brand, Midnight Studios to take on the creation of the Chuck Taylor All Star 70 and One Star silhouettes. Both sneakers are designed in an off-white colorway with contrasting black detailing, featuring an inside-out theme.
Shane Gonzales, the designer of Midnight Studios has established the brand since 2014 at age 19. He loves combining punk and youth street styles in an anti-aesthetic manner. Gonzales brings a DIY process to wardrobe staples, while drawing influence from Japanese design and minimalism instilled with the raw ideology of countercultures.
In that same spirit, Gonzales has turned the two iconic Converse sneakers inside out, revealing the seams, stripping them down to bare canvas and stamping the shoelaces with irreverent type and branding.
Standout details of high-top Chuck Taylor sneakers include dual-branded laces, the classic Converse logo on the inside of the sneaker while the sizing and care instructions sit on the outside.

Furthermore, Skechers launches its Spring/Summer 2018 collection in the stylish, sleek DLT-A range of athletic footwear, and with it, the appointment of popular host and TV personality, Left Profile Artiste Lee Teng, as Skechers Singapore Brand Ambassador.
New Skechers Store Adopts Visual-Oriented Design, Greater Focus on Apparel
Skechers Singapore’s new concept store at Suntec City West Wing, #01-375, is now officially open to the public. Encompassing over 1,900 sqf, the retail space is specially designed by utilising visual images and clear displays to better emphasize and portray the footwear, inviting visitors in with its modern, neat look.
There are dedicated areas for different categories, including Lifestyle, Performance, the kids’ series, as well as the well-loved Skechers YOU and D’Lites collections. To better segment and highlight each segment, different fixtures are also used to highlight specific parts of the store, such as perforated panels for the Lifestyle section and black, vertical bars to create an industrial look for the Performance section.
Furthermore, the new store features the largest collection of fitness and active apparel yet, reflecting Skechers’ increasing focus on the apparel segment. In the future, Skechers will place more emphasis in apparel and is likewise targeting to increase apparel representation in Skechers stores.
Sneakers from the Spring/Summer 2018 collection of Skechers’ DLT-A series (SGD129) come with air-cooled memory foam technology and includes a super lightweight shock- absorbing athletic midsole signature to the D’Lites series. It has a knitted upper and futuristic wavy line designs on the outsole, scoring points for its sporty style and comfort.

Recreating the classic look and feel inherent within the Disney brand, the collection provides a minimal yet modern twist on two of Onitsuka Tiger’s most famous styles. The MEXICO 66 was released in March, with the sketch-inspired grid version set to be released in May.
Inspired by the evolution of Mickey Mouse through the years, the MEXICO 66 is The first to feature the legendary Onitsuka Tiger Stripes, the model was born in 1966 and debuted at the 1968 Games pre-trials in Mexico City. It has since become the brand’s iconic shoes from the lifestyle range. The shoes have stood the test of time 50 years on and have kept as close to the original style and structure as possible; including premium materials, legendary Onitsuka Tiger Stripes and design nods.

Fueled by a desire to modernize the Camo print, a staple on the scene, Converse x SNS introduces a bold twist on ERDL, a print developed by US Army Engineer Research and Development Laboratory in the 60s.
The One Star take on the military print comes to life through texture and color. Translating a traditionally graphic application into a unique patchwork of suede and leather into the classic “canteen” palette. The sneaker’s foxing tape features a military laundry tag and heel stay displays a debossed SNS logo. Additional features include goat leather lining, vintage cotton laces, co-branded sock liners, and the silhouette’s iconic star in Nappa leather.
