Caterpillar – a brand synonymous with construction – has transformed its hardy footwear into classic styles that transcends generations and defy trends. In its spring/summer 2015 campaign, Caterpillar acknowledges its consumers as Earthmovers, who are seekers, finders, big thinkers, risk takers, generation makers, individuals. Complex and diverse, they build the future and extract every bit that life has to offer.
The Earthmovers, who embrace the classic style, are rooted in the heritage of Caterpillar and the straight lines and classic foundations of modern fashion. They challenge their style by taking it through time and making sure it withstands new trends. There is no room for fanciness. It originates from simplicity and an eye for an impeccable mix-and-match.
To celebrate the Earthmovers, Caterpillar has identified three types of classic styles – Function First, Style Seeker and Open to Influence – that they embody.
Function First
The Earthmovers who take on a Function First style is driven by an effortless and functional approach to wearing occasions. The Caterpillar Founder boots are their first choice as they are drawn to the utilitarian footwear. They are recognised by their drift into fashion through music and entertainment.
“I look for clothes and shoes that are comfortable, long-lasting and versatile. I’m aware of trends but take a conservative approach to style, sticking to trusted brands that I can rely on for value.”
The Caterpillar Founder boots comprise a full grain leather or nubuck upper, a nylon mesh lining and a NylexTM sock liner. Featuring the iconic tongue and tape, hex eyelets and quadruple stitching, they are appreciated for their comfortable TechniFlex welted construction and EASE foam midsole as significant traits.
Style Seeker
The Style Seeker Earthmovers are naturals when it comes to looking good – effortlessly. And their inclination to pick the Caterpillar Anson shoes to complement their style is not surprising.
“I curate my look and trust my instincts when it comes to my ever-changing personal style. Fashion is everything-I’m always on trend and stand out from the crowd.”
Smart and sleek, Anson comprises a full grain leather or suede upper, a microfiber lining and a canvas sock liner.
Open to Influence
The Earthmovers, who possess an Open to Influence style, are inspired by the trend of revival as they approach old styles in a modern way. The Caterpillar Rayden shoes take a permanent spot at top of their style list.
“I pay close attention to brands and incorporate some of these elements into my outfits. I care about style and quality. I like to dress according to occasion without being too out there.”
Rayden comprises a full grain leather or nubuck upper, a microfiber lining and a microfiber sock liner. Other signature traits include a traditional yet sporty heel counter at the back and a hybrid outsole of rubber and EVA that provides utmost comfort, lightweight and peerless durability.
