Burger lovers rejoice, for next Thursday, 28 May, is International Burger Day; a day dedicated indiscriminately to the burger in all its shapes, sizes and flavours alike!
To mark the occasion, Impossible Foods, creators of the award-winning and delicious meat made from plants, has teamed up with a few local brands to offer promotions on some of the most delicious and unique Impossible Burgers around town from Monday, 25 May until Monday, 1 June. To top off the festivities, every dish is available for order directly to your doorstep, so you can enjoy a plant-based feast from the comfort of home during the final stretch of Singapore’s Circuit Breaker period.
While enjoying delicious burgers from some of the Little Red Dot’s local restaurant favourites, both foodies and “junk food” lovers can appreciate their lowered carbon footprint, because the Impossible Burger is made from plants and every 113g patty uses 96% less land, 87% less water, and produces 89% less greenhouse gasses compared to raising the same amount of ground beef from a cow. For conscious consumers, this means that they’re saving 7 square meters of land, 3 kg of CO2, and 84 litres of water for each Impossible burger consumed. Pair the environmental benefits of Impossible’s plant-based meat with its meaty deliciousness, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a winning International Burger Day recipe.
Hard facts aside, read on for a list of some of the most mouthwatering Impossible burgers around town!
