Châteraisé, Japan’s number one confectionery, is proud to showcase two limited-edition products: Special Strawberry Cake and Additive-free Freshly Laid Egg Pudding. Both offerings are made using the freshest ingredients. Within 48 hours from the time they are harvested, the ingredients are sent for production in Châteraisé’s factory in Yamanashi. The products are then air-flown to Singapore the very next day. To ensure quality control, each product is made only in limited quantities.
The Special Strawberry Cake (SGD 6.80) is made with strawberries picked at the height of their freshness. The airy and fluffy sponge cake is layered with a luscious vanilla cream for sheer indulgence.
Equally tasty, the wobbly and sweet Additive-free Freshly Laid Egg Pudding (SGD 2.80) is made with a mix of milk, egg, sugar and caramel. Both will be a hit amongst adults and children alike.
Buoyed by its network of 121 contracted farms, Châteraisé is able to procure fresh, natural ingredients to make its beloved cakes and sweets. The milk it uses comes from grass-fed cattle that lives at a ranch in the Yatsugatake foothills. Feeding the cattle grass ensures that they produce milk that is very rich in flavour. At the factory, the milk is pasteurised for 30 minutes at a low temperature of 65 degrees Celsius—this process ensures that the milk retains its natural composition, flavours and nutrients. The eggs are imported from Yamanashi and are free of additives. The chickens are given a diet comprising healthy animal feed, which helps ensure that their eggs are low in odour. The eggs are then broken using special machinery at the factories.
Local farmers also deliver fresh, sweet and delicious strawberries directly from the production area to Châteraisé. With over 991million strawberries harvested each year, Châteraisé is very particular about the quality of their strawberries and gets them from contracted farmers all over Japan.
The brand uses the natural spring waters of Hakushu to wash and cook its adzuki beans from Hokkaido. It is this insistence on using premium-grade ingredients that has enabled Châteraisé to become the number 1 confectionery manufacturer in Japan, with a yearly turnover of USD 450 million.
