This Spring/Summer, Club Monaco pairs the clean lines from the 90s with vintage-inspired fabrics and patterns from the 70s. The New York-based label presents six different ranges – January through June – to see us transit from Winter to Summer.
Belted pieces and cropped sweaters dominate January, along with pinstriped soft pants and on-trend culottes. The next few months also sees hues of green and cashew as well as dotted florals and feminine lace – a source of inspiration drawn from rural landscapes and country cottages. As we move through the months (and the weather gets warmer), longer hemlines are executed in a lightweight gauze.
The men’s collection is also going for a throwback, with references to the 80s and 90s. Using a palette of warm burnt sienna and turquoise blue, classic shapes were given modern twists and knitwears take on cable patterns and oversize silhouettes – made to be layered over clean, crisp shirts. To combat the heat, Club Monaco introduces indigo washed knits, linens, and utilitarian details. Here, men can look forward to a perfect combination of classic staples and elegant ease.
Pieces from the January and February range are already in Club Monaco boutiques.
