As two brands with a longstanding influence on the streets, Converse x Kasina takes from the past to deliver a modern expression of both brands. Through the One Star and Chuck 70 Ox silhouettes, the collection pays homage to Kasina’s 20-year reign in Korean streetwear.
A destination location for youth in a Korea, Kasina has played a powerful role in developing Seoul’s streetwear landscape. Opening its doors in 1997, the brand’s aesthetic is rooted in skate, but continues to push cultural boundaries offering the latest in streetwear for musicians, skaters and artists on the streets of Seoul.
Tapping into Kasina’s artisanal heritage, Converse x Kasina combines the Converse silhouettes with the style of Korean youth for the global streetwear consumer.
The collection reinterprets the One Star and Chuck 70 Ox silhouettes through Kasina-inspired elements such as detailed leather designs and contrast stitching. Both sneakers also feature black leather uppers, wide black pinstripe detail on the midsole, and clear outsoles featuring a star logo split between the left and right foot.
Additionally, the One Star and Chuck 70 Ox feature the Hanja character “女” denoting the brand’s Korean namesake and its founding year “1997” on the heel.
The collection will be available at DSM Singapore on 14th July.
