Converse’s CONS collection gets a new twist to its classic silhouette. The Spring/Summer 2014 CONS Collection features the CONS Star Player and CONS Aerojam in new bold colours coupled with eye-catching details. Taking the synergy of creative street culture and translating it into their latest collection means fans get to wear their culture on their feet.
The Lifestyle collection’s Star Player pays homage to the 1977 All Star II sneakers. This time, with extra cushioning for optimum support and comfort. These low-top sneakers that everyone is familiar with also gets a seasonal update with a range of refreshing colour tones for spring – Radio Blue (a snazzy electric blue), Charcoal with a pop of minty blue, and of course the bold Red.
Those who like their shoes high and strong would prefer the CONS Star Player Plus, which channels the resurgence of the 90’s heritage trend and mirrors a few details from the Converse Weapon and Aerojam styles, specifically the Y Bar and molded oversized tongue details. Keeping its sports-driven ethos, the sneaker details include the iconic Star Chevron logo, white toe cap and a padded collar for extra cushioning.
Also available in Radio Blue, the Star Player Plus comes in Mesange, White, and Gray. Another 90s inspired pair is the CONS Aerojam, which takes you back in time with an oversized tongue, removable and reversible lace shroud details, and a sports-inspired aesthetica remastered silhouette – in White,Charcoal, and Red.
Their Skateboarding Collection consists of the CONS Star Player Skate, available in mid and low-top styles. This versatile pair comes equipped with a molded Lunarlon sockliner, CONS traction rubber, perforated memory foam, and a gusseted tongue. The colour range is wide for this one! It comes in Oyster Gray, Ensign Blue, Khaki, Graphite, and Black.
The second pair in their Skateboarding collection is the CONS Trapasso Pro II, named and inspired by Converse Skateboarding Ambassador Nick Trapasso. His lifestyle, personal style, and interests are fused into the shoe’s design. The Trapasso Pro II offers tie-dye suede details and updated seasonal colors. Like the Star Player Skate, it features a molded Lunarlon sock liner, CONS traction rubber and perforated memory foam padding for optimal cushioning. Other colours include Black, Gray, and Graphite.
Last on the Skateboarding range is the CONS KA-II sneaker, which is also a representation of Converse Skateboarding Ambassador Kenny Anderson. It features a camouflage printed suede and molded Lunarlon sockliner, memory foam and gusseted tongue for a customized fit. Additional details include CONS Traction Rubber fused with the Flex Rubber Cup Sole for increased board grip. This comes in Camouflage, Black, Gray, and Navy.
