Culture Cartel, Asia’s first-of-its-kind all-encompassing street culture convention, is back from 6 to 8 December after its lit inaugural launch last year, promising to be bigger and better. Early bird entry passes for the second edition – that
is all set to up the ante with more art, fashion, toys, and tattoos – are now on sale till 31 October. Taking place again at the F1 Pit Building, this year’s convention space spans more than 15,000 sq. ft. across three floors.
Organised by Culture Cartel Pte Ltd, the three-day convention powers the regional street culture scene once more, as it brings the best of street brands, purveyors and talents in Asia and from around the world to the home ground. From Culture Cartel Conversations (panels and talks), interviews with thought leaders, interactive exhibitions, workshops and masterclasses, to crowd favourites – raffle and lucky draws – this is a street culture festival with something up everyone’s alley, even for those newly initiated!
Get up close and personal with your favourite street artists, such as Crash (NY) and Stash (NY), who will be releasing exclusive customised merchandise in collaboration with Culture Cartel.
Toy collectors will also be thrilled to know that renowned toy designers like COARSE (LA) and Luke Chueh (LA) are part of the exciting line-up, where the latter will be conducting a masterclass to share the secrets of his craft.
Tattoo enthusiasts can look forward to getting inked by class acts such as Noko Nishigaki (JP), the 11-year-old daughter of blackwork tattoo maestro Gakkin and also one of the youngest working tattoo artists in the world, as well as Sasha Unisex (US), a renowned watercolour tattoo artist who draws people in from across the globe with her graphic, vividly-coloured works.
The convention has also curated the trendiest streetwear brands from the region for fashion enthusiasts, with retailers comprising CAZH (TH), Cosmonaut (ID), Limited Edt (SG), Panicpizzaclub (KR), RAW EMOTIONS (HK), The Corner Shop (SG), and well-loved sports and lifestyle brands ASICS , HUGO, New Balance, PUMA, REEBOK, Skechers, Vans, and many more setting up exciting pop-ups.
Building from the momentum of the convention, the official website – culturecartel.com – has also been newly relaunched. It will include a sub-site that reads like an intimate diary; keeping readers updated with the latest trends and happenings related to street culture within the region. To shed light on the uninitiated, it will also document conversations with cultural stalwarts, digging deeper into burgeoning brands and reimagining stories through
Culture Cartel’s very own lens.
