Come September, DC Shoes will be stirring up the regional skate community with a highly anticipated 2013 South East Asia tour. This extreme venture will bring DC’s world-renowned skate team to the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia, offering fans a chance to get an up close and personal DC skateboarding experience through in-store signings and skateboarding demonstrations.
One highlight of this year’s tour is the inclusion of DC’s Nyjah Huston, who recently had the honour of receiving ESPN’s Action Sports Athlete Of The Year award. This gifted skater is also known to have won more prize money than any other skateboarders in history. Joining Nyjah will be Wes Kremer, Matt Miller, Cyril Jackson, Tommy Fynn and Jake Hayes.
Each city will present its unique skate feature as playgrounds for the extreme athletes to flaunt their daredevil stunts. In Manila (the Philippines), a custom made park has been built inside South East Asia’s largest shopping mall, the SM Mall of Asia. In Singapore, the DC team will be doing a demo at Somerset Skatepark which is situated only a short stroll from the world famous shopping strip of Orchard Road. In Jakarta, the demo will take place at Green Skatepark, an expansive recreational park in Jakarta’s east.
Every stop will also include a meet-and-greet session with the DC team at DC’s flagship stores where fans will get an opportunity to take photos with the pros, receive autographed memorabilia and have a chance to win some great prizes.
