Din Tai Fung specially created the XO Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs (S$15.80) to celebrate
winning Singapore’s Best Fried Rice. This new limited-edition fried rice is masterfully prepared using a special blend of XO sauce with scallops and dried shrimps concocted by chefs at Din Tai Fung. For a smoky flavour, chefs grill dried flat fish, and toss the rice with its fragrant pieces along with essential ingredients in a Din Tai Fung fried rice – signature imported pearl rice, eggs, and spring onions. The XO sauce, meanwhile, gives the fried rice depth with a full, fragrant umami flavour, perfectly complementing the succulent shrimps and adding a smooth and shiny finishing touch to the dish.
