Referencing her original designs for Fred Perry, the spring 2017 collection has Amy at its core.
The collection remains rooted in the singer’s distinctive sportswear and pin-up silhouettes, each piece signed off with two love hearts above the embroidered Laurel Wreath: a reference to Amy’s tattoos.
The polka dot print references Amy’s rockabilly styling, and is used for the bowling shirt as well as the fitted cardigan and bucket bag.
Pegasus, the London based graffiti artist started collaborating with the Foundation when his stencilled piece, ‘Fallen Angel’ became an unofficial shrine for Amy’s fans. He designed the rose motif seen across the pique shirt and bomber jacket in this collection; another tribute to the musician.
Fred Perry continues to collaborate with the Amy Winehouse Foundation, making a contribution each season to support the charity’s work with young people from difficult backgrounds.
The Amy Winehouse Foundation Collection will be available at the Fred Perry Authentic Shop at ION Orchard #B3-01.
