Move over, Donald Trump! There is a new candidate in town. American rapper Kanye West has announced his apparent candidacy via Twitter on 4 July 2020 – America’s Independence Day. Talk about living it up to the occasion.

From his undying support for the current American President since 2018 (much to everyone’s dismay) to his confession in 2019 that it was all an act to tease the Democrats, West has been vocal about his presidential dreams. That doesn’t mean his announcement did not come off as a shock to the world.
The 21-time Grammy Awards winner has 4 months to prepare for the November 2020 election. His announcement tweet has been retweeted more than 300,000 times (and counting) since he posted, with Elon Musk offering his “full support”. Wife Kim Kardashian-West who was just recently announced a billionaire also shared her support. The reality star will be America’s First Lady if West wins the election.
Though West nor any official sources have announced anything further, if it is true, grab your popcorn because things just got a lot more interesting in 2020! #2020VISION
