The new G-Shock GA-1000 is the first analog-type G-Shock to be equipped with twin sensors for measuring compass bearing and temperature. With just a push of the large button in the 9 o’clock position, the second hand turns and points north based on data from the built-in compass sensor.
A stellar piece under G-Shock’s Gravity Defier aviator concept range, the GA-1000 utilises Casio’s advanced technologies to refine the functionality of these watches to meet the requirements of pilots. These include a large face design for superior readability and instant information recognition even under challenging conditions.
The watch’s expansive face boasts a large index and bold Arabic numerals. The watch also provides multiple types of information at a glance using a combination of digital and analog technologies: the analog hands constantly indicate local time while the digital LCDs provide world time. The GA-1000 also features the Neon Illuminator, which uses an LED black light to illuminate the hands and index in different colours such as blue and green. This ensures that the watch is highly readable at night.
There is also a bearing memory function that allows the user to display and save intended direction in the watch’s memory. The temperature sensor comes in handy to measure the surrounding temperature on the go.
With cutting edge technology and a sophisticated design, the GA-1000 boasts both the readability and functionality required to suit tough environments.
Retailing at SGD339, the Casio G-Shock GA-1000 is available at the G-Shock concept store at Plaza Singapura, all Casio G-Factory stores and authorised dealers.
