*Latest update [9 April 2020] : The event will be cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation at hand.
The annual i Light Singapore 2020 light art festival, scheduled to be held from 6 to 29 March 2020, will be postponed, and new dates for the Festival will be announced in due course.
As the current Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) level has stepped up to Orange from Yellow amidst the 2019 novel coronavirus situation, the postponement of i Light Singapore 2020 is in line with the advisory to cancel or defer non-essential large-scale events, especially as some of the artworks and complementary activities lined up for the upcoming Festival will require visitors to come into close contact with the artworks or other individuals.
In light of the situation, several artists have also encountered some delays in fabricating their artworks, and it is believed that postponing the Festival to a later date will allow visitors to have a more optimal experience with the artworks and programme line-up.
Nevertheless, the artists whose artworks have been selected for i Light Singapore 2020 will be once again invited to present their works when a suitable date has been set to bring back the event. Meanwhile, watch this space and cross your fingers for your favourite installations to be presented!
