In Good Company’s Capsule 5 is the epitome of modern, wearable styles. Runway collections may seem so hard to pull off, but this label’s clean aesthetics make it easier to incorporate fashion-forward pieces into our wardrobe.
Capsule 5 balances sharp tailoring from Sven Tan with Kane Tan’s fluid draping, and the result is a versatile and diverse collection. A few distinctive pieces include the cropped boxy jackets which toe a fine line between casual and classy, square-cut layered peplums that are both dreamy and geometric, and skirts and culottes with razor-sharp knife-pleats that swing with every step. Other details like closures, zips, and hems are kept to a minimum.
In Good Company brings customer favourites into new collections by tweaking with new details or length, and Capsule 5 does so with two-in-one styles. For example, a streamline version of a best-selling outer jacket is assembled with an symmetrical top in one hybrid whole (SHILOH) so that it looks like two styles. These styles takes out weight and bulk out of the equation. ROYA, a two-way top that can be worn back-to-front also continues this tradition.
With colours, the label decided to go with neutral tones of sand, greys, and monochromatic black/white. Strong hits of day-glow pink and lemon yellow stand out as graphic exclamations.
Capsule 5 is available from November 2014, with new deliveries from December 2014 through March 2015. Prices range from SGD99-339. Get it online, TANGS Orchard, KAPOK, and KEEPERS.
