Beginning your journey to a healthy lifestyle can be confusing at first. The numbers, the dos and don’ts, and being more conscious about your choices does get easier but there’s no harm in getting a little help. Jawbone, a company that produces wearable devices powered by data science, has released its newest products – the UP MOVE and UP3 Bands.
Their innovative UP system provides consumers information about their own body. UP MOVE is a new, easy-to-use activity tracker that monitors your steps, how much you exercise, and calories you burn. It gives you insight into your weight loss and health regime while also capturing detailed information about your sleep (if you wear it to bed that is!).
Made from a durable, nylon-like anodised aluminum, UP MOVE comes in five brilliant colours with corresponding clips so you can easily fasten it anywhere, be it the coin pocket of your jeans or clipped to your sock, belt, or undergarment. Colourful hypoallergenic wrist straps are also available in two widths, slim and standard, allowing you to wear UP MOVE on your wrist and mix and match it with your personal accessories.
The UP3 Bands on the other hand, is a multi-sensor activity that provides an even deeper understanding of your activities. It collects and analyses a wide range of biometric signals, giving you detailed information on your heart like resting heart rate and changes your heart go through over time, sleep stages like REM, and helps you identify and keep track of your activities, from tennis to cross-training.
Designed by leading industrial designer, Yves Behar, UP3 features a slim, stylish, and low-profile design that you can accessorise with jewelry or watches on the wrist. An understanding of your diet, sleep, and physical activities will hopefully motivate you to reach your personal goals of drinking eight glasses of water in a day or taking 2,500 more steps!
UP MOVE comes in five colours (Black, Fog, Purple, Red Punch, Yellow) and will retail for SGD85. It will be in stores before Christmas this year. UP3 comes in two colours (Black Diamond, Silver Cross) and will retail for SGD288. It will be in stores by early next year.
