Bringing in soap opera-style and gif-like music videos into the business is Australian artist Kirin J Callinan. His debut album Embracism is a collection of innovating song-writing, jagged guitars, and snarling vocals.
Performing in Singapore for one night only, Kirin J Callinan’s live shows have often been described as intense. Its genre-bending and theatrical. It’s apt then that he will be supported by Moscow-based musician Mary Ocher – another artist currently pushing the scene’s limits with her avant-pop and garage works.
Boy Kulisap, a Filipino whose mastery lies in experimental beats and circuit bending work, is completing the trio.
Kirin J Callinan feat. Mary Ocher and Boy Kulisap is happening at BluJaz (11 Bali Lane), Friday, 1 May 2015. Doors open at 8pm and tickets go for SGD28 for one ticket, SGD50 for two and SGD35 on the door.
