About Hamilton
Originally a Broadway play in 2015, Hamilton later became a global phenomenon for the rest of the 2010s. Winning multiple Tonys, Grammys, Oliviers and even a Pulitzer Prize, it changed the way people view the American Founding Fathers and Broadway Theatre as a whole.
The play is a biographical account of the titular character Alexander Hamilton, presented in a musical form. Speaking of which, the play’s soundtrack was a hit amongst audiences, blending jazz, hip-hop and Broadway together. The play was written and had its score composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also plays the titular character.
Singapore will be the third Asian city to be hosting the musical, after Abu Dhabi and Manila. While Miranda will not be returning for his role, Jason Arrow, who portrayed the character in the Australian adaptations, will be coming to perform for Singapore.
The performance season will be from 19 April to 9 June, at the Sands Theatre. Tickets range from $80 to $300! Don’t miss out on possibly the greatest Broadway production this century, right here in Singapore!
