Hello Kitty is 40! Oddly enough, despite its ‘age’, it is still one of the well known characters amongst young children (and some adults) all over the world. In light of Hello Kitty’s 40th anniversary, McDonald’s Singapore has made the new series of Hello Kitty Bubbly World plush toys available to fans here in Singapore. Believe it or not, Singapore fans are the first in the world to get their hands on these limited edition plush toys! There are six plush toys to be collected.
The Hello Kitty plush toys are already available at all McDonald’s outlets (except for Tampines interchange kiosk, Mc Cafes, McDelivery or Drive-Thru) at $4.95 each with a purchase of an extra value meal. Alternatively, McDonald’s has made it even easier for fans by allowing them to order the full collector’s set worth $80 online. McDonald’s has partnered with SingPost to provide delivery services, where customers can choose for it to be delivered via SpeedPost, or through the new SingPost POPStations, which allow for 24/7 self- collection.
With the launch of the Hello Kitty Bubbly World Series, McDonald’s has also partnered with The Strait’s Times School Pocket Money Find (SPMF) to allow customers to donate their meals to lower income families whose children are beneficiaries of SPMF. Customers can just place their order at the counter, and inform the staff that they wish to make a donation. Donated meals will be valued at $5 each and will be distributed to the families through SPMF in the form of McDonald’s meal vouchers after the end of the promotion.
Also, 20 fans can stand a chance to win a limited edition Hello Kitty Bubbly World post card collectibles! All they have to do is find one of six 2- feet figurines located at secret McDonald’s outlets, take a creative picture with it and upload it on Instagram with the hashtag #mcdbubblyworld and geo-tagging the correct location of the figurine!
This next six weeks will be a blast for all Hello Kitty fans as there will be so many opportunities to get their hands on the collectibles. Furthermore, they can choose to be a good samaritan all at the same time by donating a meal to the less fortunate.
