We have seen a fair share of bizarre baby names in the past. The latest addition of peculiar baby names comes amidst recent events. In the spirit of the COVID-19 pandemic, a couple from India had gifted their new-born twins two unique names – Corona and Covid.
According to The New India Express, Vinay Verma and his wife, Preeti had given birth to a boy (Covid) and a girl (Corona) in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh. Due to the nationwide lockdown, getting to the hospital was a challenge for the couple. On top of that, Preeti had complications while giving birth and their family members are not allowed to visit them.

They have given the names to symbolise the hardships they faced and how they overcome it all. They also hope to elevate the anxiety that comes with words tied to the pandemic. Plus, they sure are two memorable names!
