Nespresso sure knows how to start the year the right way! Launching the Mestria, the latest of their coffee wonder machines, on 9 January means your coffee experience for the year has just improved by a tenfold. Inspired by the meticulous ritual of professional coffee preparation, the Maestria allows even the most clueless coffee drinker to make himself a cuppa – and a delicious one at that.
With its rounded edges and retro dials on the front for maximum precision, the coffee machine is reminiscent of traditional barista machinery. It also features a pivoting cup stand that lets users change their recipe type and size.
Every coffee lover knows that the secret of a great Cappuccino or Caffe Latte lies in creating milk froth at the right density. Maestria’s steam pipe allows just that by using an optimised air intake technology to prepare light froth with a creamy texture.
Maestria is made of aluminium, and possesses a large capacity water tank of 1.4L and a generous used capsule container up to 14 capsules. It will also tell you, via lighting, when descaling is required. Environment conscious folks will also be happy to know that the machine is energy saving, powering off after 9 minutes of inactivity (programmable to different time lengths).
The official launch was held at ION Orchard Atrium, Level 1. Nespresso Singapore also announced collaborations with local personalities Glenn Ong, Kit Chan, and Chef Emmanuel Stroobant to usher in the Year of the Horse.
At the launch, the three introduced their own recipes – Espresso Vodka Affogato Shots by Glenn, Nephew Matthew’s Favourite Tiramisu by Kit, and Abundance of Joy by Emmanuel – for guests to relish. “We were keen to partner with Glenn Ong, Kit Chan, and Chef Emmanuel Stroobant as soon as we found out that they were big fans of Nespresso coffee,” said Mark Leenders, Market Director of Nespresso Asia (extreme right in picture).
Priced at $788, Maestria is now available at Nespresso boutiques, on the online Nespresso boutique, and from selected trade partners.
