As menswear becomes more tailored on runways, traditional barbershops are also making a comeback, popping up in urban areas. This February, Boston-based New Balance supports the comeback of barbershops by debuting the New Balance Elite Edition Barbershop Pack.
Inspired by the old-school cultural institution of the barber shop, the New Balance Elite Edition Barbershop Pack will be available in three styles, the New Balance 1600, 580 and 999. The New Balance Elite Edition Barbershop Pack colour story is great for both males and females as it is based off the red, white and blue barbershop poles found outside classic barbershops.
Details on the shoes include pig suede and mesh uppers; striped aglets; and, also, checkerboard patterned inserts inspired by the floors of vintage barbershops.
The New Balance Barbershop Pack is available at New Balance Concept Stores, Limited Edt and Leftfoot. The New Balance 1600 retails for $179, while the New Balance 580 and 999 retail for $169.
