It seems that rock bands from the early 2000s are making a comeback and touring around Asia – ready to tug at our nostalgic heartstrings. Last month, Yellowcard and Hoobastank reminded us what it felt like to be 15 again. Next February, New Found Glory – a band critics consider as a key pioneer to the pop punk genre – is giving its Singaporean fans a visit.
The American punk rock band from Florida is renowned for their energetic live performances, and has garnered cult following a since their inception. Labelled the “godfathers of modern punk”, All music credits them for practically serving alongside the work of Blink 182 as the blueprint to the entire genre for the early 2000s.
