Nike has announced the Nike+ FuelBand, a smart wristband device that counts your physical activity in calories burned, and time, add on to a game-like point system called ‘Fuel Points’ to keep you motivated.
Commented from NikeFuel twitter account it says that “Not only is the FuelBand a fun way to keep you active, but you can compete, collaborate & compare your activity w/each other.”
FuelPoints are a metric to measure your overall fitness, based on your oxygen intake. The more you move, the more FuelPoints you’ll earn. Seeing how many FuelPoints you’re earning is easy, too — a series of 20 LED lights goes from red to green as you earn points. You can even set your FuelPoints goals ahead of time to challenge yourself day to day.
The Nike+Fuel is priced at USD $149 and set to ship out on February 22nd, pre-order is available online.
